ABOUT

SUSIE BERRY

A young event rider, representing Ireland at Championship level, yet based in Northamptonshire, UK.​
Originally from County Down, Northern Ireland, Susie has been surrounded by horses all her life, so it was inevitable that she would end up working with horses in some way.  ​
​
Susie has been fortunate enough to represent Ireland at no less than six European Championship from Ponies through to the Young Riders, winning Gold and Bronze medals along the way.  Now in the Senior ranks Susie has competed at the World and European Championships, helping Team Ireland secure their 2024 Olympic Qualification.

In 2014 Susie relocated from Northern Ireland to Northampton to work for and train with Piggy March at her base in Maidwell, Northamptonshire.  ​

2019 also saw Susie accepted as part of the first cohort of Young Eventers to participate in the Wesko Equestrian Foundation Young Eventer Programme.  She received mentoring and guidance from some leading figures in the sport, including Pippa Funnell, as she continued to establish herself at CCI4* while seeking the important CCI5* qualification. 

2020 marked the start of a new chapter in Susie's equestrian career as she took the huge step of setting up on her own and establishing her own yard with support of Ron Pearson, her Team, her loyal Owners and Sponsors near Kettering, Northampton.
